Default eBooks and eBook readers

SF Signal had an article on it today:

http://www.sfsignal.com/archives/200...iss-the-point/

It makes some good points about how an ebook reader ought to do more than attempt to imitate the printed page. But I'm still having a hard time thinking of any ebook reader I would want to own, theoretical or existing.

It doesn't seem like you even end up saving much money, anyway. On Amazon, a new paperback costs around $0-4 more than the Kindle edition, at least for the titles I checked. I would gladly pay that price for having an actual copy with a pretty cover that I can store on my bookshelf, lend to friends, and easily resell if I want to.

Comments? I'd love to hear from people who have more experience with this than I do.

I've been looking at the Kindle and I think I would love its so much easier to carry over a book, or two if you are almost finished with one. It does't hurt to buy the book if you really enjoyed it, and you can find free books on the Kindle because the copy rights have expired.....

I don't plan to buy a ebook reader right now... but I'm sure they'll be able to design one in my lifetime that will tempt me. I can think of a ton of things they could do with them that aren't available right now.

There is one monumental 35 volume Sixth Gospel - Serious Entertainment franchise to own as a complete running 35 E book business spreading worldwide at an unprecedented level. It´s from the dubbed Czech Hollywood Warrior Priest at http://thesixthgospel.blogspot.com/ He, my theatrical persona, challenges everyone everywhere as an internet marketing guru from scratch. Judge for yourself, checking my agenda.

My complete 35 E book business package selling as one´s own transcendental franchise of the Sixth Gospel - Serious Entertainment is not about saving money, it´s about making money at an unprecedented level while having serious fun, spreading my word as a philosophy, a religion, a lifestyle by pure design, chance, or mistake. I´m the dubbed Czech Hollywood Warrior Priest from http://thesixthgospel.blogspot.com/ to educate and entertain, kicking some serious ass worldwide. I make people curious, intrigued, freaked out, raising many a brow.

My Sixth Gospel franchise, comprising of 35 gripping books, not just because of the outstanding covers, looks great both in "encyclopaedia format" on thousands of shelves worldwide and in an E book form. People tend to read E books much more nowadays. Look who´s talking, an internet marketing guru from scratch ! Without the Internet and the E books I wouldn´t be this well-known writer. Haven´t you ever heard of the dubbed Czech Hollywood Warrior Priest ? I´ve been around for over 16 years already, carving my dark writing career, marketing it along with my resellers for over 6 years. The collection looks really good next to the British Encyclopedia. I recommend the transcendental Sixth Gospel of mine because you surely know four gospels, may have heard speculating about the fifth, and that´s where I come in with the Sixth. I make people curious, intrigued, freaked out. I educate and entertain. Serious Entertainment is my trademark, all of your business !
